to look good for the burgundy and gold. at one point they lead houston, texas, with a 17-point lead. things were moving in the right direction at the half. then it really came down to who had the ball last. this game went into overtime against houston and it came down to field goals. the redskins ended up missing that final field goal, giving the ball back to houston, they ended up making that final field goal and ended up claiming victory. it was a bitter sweet win for redskins fans who said they were happy to see that the redskins were finally moving the ball down the field and ended up putting points on its board. at the end, it just wasn't enough. redskins fans were already looking toward the future. >> i think coming into the season, a lot of questions are being answered right now about what it's going to be like for us. >> that certainly is the sentiment. a lot of people looking at quarterback donvan mcnabb and mike shanhan saying things are already looking better despite yesterday. the focus is on the next game. >> we'll be looking ahead. thank you very much for that. >>> it

understandable. rick reichmuth, though, we were anticipating last night, in fact, local reports from the houston area were that the flooding came and went very quickly. and as the storm continued to move, there were concerns about whether this would happen. they didn't have this serious a problem in houston. >> they didn't. let me tell you what is going on here. in a hurricane, tropical storm, you get the outer rain bands, and the one rain band with rain over the exact same area and cause the localized flooding. the problem last night and today is that the rain band that brought all of the rain set up in a line from san antonio to austin up through the dallas area. the area that has got kind of the most population outside of that houston metro area all of those big cities good pummeled with the rain and so we have been seeing all kinds of rescues for the last 24 hours but it is across the populated areas. a lot of texas is dotted with small towns and there are open fields there that if it happened it wouldn't have big effects but this rain happened across three of their major cities and causing

be white, but you will be tickled pink. as i left for houston, one of them hatched out. we have birds sitting and waiting. it looks like we will have a good population of plumbing goes. we have not had flamingo's born at the zoo in almost seven years. this was long in the making. i am pleased to support, perhaps prematurely, that it looks like we will conclude fy10 with a slight surplus. we are meeting the obligation to manage these do so it stays in the black from year to year, or at the very least breaks even. you know we have been dealing with a difficult weather situation which has affected attendance at the zoo. i want to point out that the good weather returned at the start of september and for the first half of the month. we are now 8% ahead of projections, and revenues are ahead as well. attendance at the zoo is definitely weather related. at the conference in houston i had the opportunity to talk about this phenomenon with many directors of other zoos. about 50% to 70% of zoos across the country experienced extreme weather conditions. attendance is down. it seems to be weathe

. the redskins built a 17-point lead last night, but houston mounted a texas-sized comeback. matt shaw passed for nearly 500 yards, leading the texans to a victory in overtime. here's how it went down. over two minutes to go, redskins up 27-20. fourth and ten for houston. avoids the sack. jump ball to his favorite receive andre johnson, and he hauls it in. they force overtime. in o.t., graham on for the win from 52 yards out. the kick is good. but hold on a second. head coach gary calls a time-out before the kick. so we have to do it all over again. second attempt, oh, no. the kick is wide right. that extends the overtime. and thetexans capitalize. vetera kicker neil on from 35 yards out. and it's up and it's good. donovan mcnabb and the redskins lose 30-27 in overtime. >> bottom line is they got it done. and we did it. you have to go back and go pretty tough on yourself. the thing i was pleased with is our football team played hard throughout the game. just made a few too many mistakes at crucial times. >> up next for the redskins, their first road game against the 0-2 st. louis rams. that's
